My Map of Italy;
Explain why Romulus wanted his new city, Rome, to be near the Tiber River. What advantages and disadvantages would arise from being near this river?
I think that Romulus wanted his new city to be near the Tiber River because it would provide good trade, because it was hard for Rome to trade because they were almost completely surrounded by the 7 hills. Also, it was one of the water sources for Rome's people. It would be a disadvantage because it is so close to Rome, so enemies could attack, because the river would lead them to their destination.
